An Evening with Jason Tako
Last week, Gallery 2318 in Camp Hill, PA hosted an evening of painting, food and fun. I was invited to give a painting demonstration and talk to a select group of people to help raise awareness for Plein Air Camp Hill and the art of plein air painting. Delicious food was catered in as the crowd discussed everything from sunny-day painting to Sonny Rollins. I demonstrated my limited primary palette technique by painting an autumn landscape inspired by a scene near Devil's Den in Gettysburg National Park. The painting was sold via silent auction and the funds donated to the Camp Hill Economic Development Group. See the article by Harrisburg Patriot contributor Allison Dougherty.
I will be participating in Plein Air Camp Hill this coming May 17-19, 2013. Be sure to come see this wonderful event and add some beautiful plein air work for your collection. There will be great food, music and the thrill of watching artists from all over the tri-state region paint "en plein air."
