Pintail Feeding, oil on linen panel, 9x12

I love doing little portraits of wildlife and this painting was a lot of fun. After doing large paintings that require a lot of pre-planning it is refreshing to do a simple composition. I experimented a lot in textures and subtle color harmonies and I was very pleased with the result.

The Ole Dodge, oil on linen panel, 11"x14"

Here is the second painting I did at Plein Air Easton. I was shown to this farm house where they had all kinds of delightful things to paint including an old Skip Jack. The Skip Jack had been painted many times so I decided to paint this old Dodge truck.

Docked Sailboats, oil on linen panel, 11"x14"

Here is the first painting I did last week during Plein Air Easton. It was early morning and the sun was slightly peaking out from the clouds on these sailboats. I did the painting in about 3 hours.
