New Paintings and New Hope Plein Air

Hello Everyone!

This coming week I will be painting en plein air in Bucks County, Pennsylvania; New Hope to be precise. It's the 2nd Annual Local Color Plein Air in New Hope, PA, put on by Bucks County Gallery of Fine Art. The painting begins on Tuesday, the Quick Draw will start at 1pm, and the Collector's Preview will be Saturday evening, tickets are only $20/person. Click here to see more details. I hope to see you there.

Below are three new paintings to view and add to your collection. Each painting is created in oil, and comes framed and ready to hang on your wall. Contact me at luke_tako@yahoo.com to inquire. See more at www.JasonTako.com.

Aspen Marsh Study
This painting was inspired by a grove of aspen trees I saw out west near the Wyoming/Idaho border in the Grand Teton range. They were in a field of grass, but as I painted I could see a pond in my mind, so in went the pond. This added the perfect touch. I will be doing a larger version of this composition soon, but if small works better on your wall, then this painting will be perfect for you.
9"x12", $1,000, framed.

Shields Lake Stream
I originally did a plein air painting of this stream back in 2005. It was a warm August evening in Minnesota, only a few miles from where I grew up. While the original plein air painting was good for the time, I have learned so much since then. So using that original painting, I recreated it and improved it. This painting takes me back home to those peaceful wetlands I was raised on where you could hear the frogs and birds in the calm evening light.
11"x14", $1,200, framed.

The Flower Pot
This was a small plein air painting I did just last week. I loved the composition that the fence and stone walkway gave. And the flowers add a nice touch of color.
6"x8", $300, framed.
